Leslie Feinglas is seeking ways to improve the education of the 900-plus students in her care, and this year, she’s getting a little presidential assistance. As principal of Mesquite’s Walter L. Wilkinson Middle School, she will join professors and researchers from Johns Hopkins, Florida State, Arcadia and Southern Methodist universities to provide hands-on instruction in reading, writing and math.
